Class Details

Your salads will never be the same after this session with Jill. Learn how to make a basic vinaigrette, along with two variations that take it to the next level. Jill will also show you how to make an Asian-inspired dressing using tahini. She will also conduct a salt tasting with you.

Class includes: A bottle of Barral olive oil, a bottle of white wine vinegar and a can of Callipo tuna, samples of three salts ($37 value)


Menu:

  • Basic Vinaigrette Along with Two Variations (cook along)
  • Mixed Greens with Basic Vinaigrette (cook along)
  • Simple Salad Nicoise (demo)
  • Kale Salad with Roasted Cashews and Tahini Ginger Dressing (cook along)

Classes are conducted via Zoom.

About three to four days before the event, participants will receive:

• Class ID/URL and password
• Recipe package
• Shopping list 
• Equipment list

    Jill Wilcox was born and raised in London, Ontario. It was on a trip to Europe that she knew her life would revolve around food, well-prepared meals and bringing friends and family together around the table.

    For over 40 years, Jill has inspired others to cook through her London Free Press recipe column, many cook books and cooking classes. Since 1999, Jill’s Table has been London’s premier specialty food and housewares store, bringing in the best products from across Canada and around the world.

    In the spirit of giving back to the community, she established The Jill Wilcox Foundation in 2012. All funds raised by the foundation go to local charitable organizations that help women and children in food related initiatives.
